Bob Hoover in his Aero Commander Shrike

Bob Hoover in his Aero Commander Shrike Tube. Duration : 2.90 Mins.

Bob Hoover is a pilot who served in World War II, later becoming involved in aerobatics. He is credited for flying next to Chuck Yeager, who was flying the Bell X1 on the mission to break the sound barrier. This video here is very famous and widely distributed. A barell roll in an aircraft (If done right) is a 1G manoeuvre, meaning there are no load forces acting on the plane during the roll. Disclaimer: I do not hold any ownership or copyright to footage or audio of Bob Hoover performing aerobatic manoevres, nor have I made, making or seeking to make profit from it. This video is simply intended to be informative. All copyright belongs to its rightful owners [BBC Motion Gallery (MVR)], and as such, they receive royalties for this video.
