Magesh recounts to Santha about the happenings in the police station. Santha feels bad about Jayanthi and starts worrying about Shalini. Col. Swaminathan calls Magesh and enquires about Shalini. Shalini alights in Trichy Railway Station. A confused Shalini exits the station, two auto men notice that Shalini is alone and start ragging her. Shalini feels intimidated. Seeing a girl being ragged, Raghavan & his wife who are passing by, rescue her and take her with them. Raghavan introduces Shalini to their daughter Kayalvizhi. They offer food and shelter to Shalini. Shalini is hoping to start her life afresh.
